Material has been founded by and for fine artists. The text-only magazine is a stage for contributions that vary concerning form, style and content. To make room for this variety, we developed a layout for the first edition, where the printed sheets are folded and intertwined. This folding disturbs the reading rhythm, the jump into the next text happens casually. The foldout of the unbleached book printing paper emphasizes the three dimensionality of the book space and becomes an object of tactile experience itself.
